I know you all are working hard out there in your search, so I wanted to highlight, for the newbies out there, some of the top careers one can pursue in technology today. I’ve been at this sales thing for about 8 years now and if I had to start over I would definitely keep my eye on these fields.

Cybersecurity professionals can work in a variety of industries, including government, finance, healthcare, and technology. Its one of those jobs where the work will aways be there and never ends, so you are definitely in demand here. I rate cybersecurity highly as a top place to take your career.

Artificial intelligence is another rapidly growing field that is creating many new tech careers. AI professionals are in high demand to develop and implement AI solutions in a variety of industries, including healthcare, transportation, and manufacturing. With tools like ChatGPT and Bard, as well as open-source AI, the landscape is ever-evolving and changing. The future, as well as today, needs many engineers to help build, train, and maintain AI models. Now is a great time to learn how to code in Python!

An offshoot of data science is data analytics, a field I am especially familiar with, having sold a data analytics product for roughly the last 2 years. Personally, I’ve had a few websites built and it is a task, to say the least. Website builders work to some degree but a skilled developer is worth their weight in gold as far as time to delivery of value. If I were to start over, I’d definitely look into learning web development!

Every software app you use, web-based or mobile, has some form of support. Sadly, not all support is created equal. Some companies and apps have more resources for support than others. Nonetheless, support of any kind is essential if you want to have users for your app. Therefore, support people are needed and an integral part of any operation.
